I’m putting this update here in case Nautilus goes down for an extended period of time. I’m in the process of upgrading the word press installation. If there are any relevant updates that need to be posted about the status of the site while it’s out - you’ll be able to find them here.

I have to admit that the web comic has been in a bit of a ‘limbo’ state; and I hope now to clear up its wareabouts. The twelve issues that were slated to be finished before I started posting are, in fact, done. Actually, now there are more than twelve as I have continued to work sporadically on them. They are all in old school black and white. A few of them need to have their lettering redone digitally (the speech balloons that I had created using the old cut-and-paste method have come loose). I was hoping to have a few of them colored before posting and now that might just happen, as I have a few people potentially interested in taking up the task. Also, I’m currently working on editing the comics press default theme and so far that is going well. I hope to add the finishing touches to the theme quickly and then to begin posting (still slated for twice a week, Tuesday/Thursday). So, as soon as the site theme changes you can expect the comic to start. And that will, or at least hopefully, make my long rambling post a little more interesting.
Saturday I got the chance to participate in LemonAID, an event put on by Lemon Street gallery in Kenosha. It was a blast, they provided some canvases, some easels and invited a bunch of artist to come share their artistic process with the world. It was a very different environment to working in the studio (and not just because of the wind) and was a great way to break from the norm.
Ok, so there were a few things that prevented me from working on the comic; but now, back to work…
#11 is finished and I’m currently working on #12. That is the final comic that I plan to have finished before I start posting them here. I’d say by tuesday or thursday it should be up and running (twice a week, in case I forgot to mention…) Of course, I still have to prep the new theme so that the comic will post correctly.
We’re currently working on making some changes to the site, so if there are some things that seem to not be working check back later and they should be back online.
